Paysafe has announced the appointment of Sujit Unni as Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO), heading the firm’s product cycles, payment networks and innovation frameworks.

A key leadership hire for Paysafe’s corporate strategy, Unni joins Paysafe from Barclays UK. He previously served as a Managing Director overseeing the development of the firm’s retail and business lending platforms.

Updating investors, Paysafe governance brands Unni’s appointment as a ‘best-in-class executive’ who holds extensive knowledge of leading product development, tech strategy and engineering for mass-market brands.

Unni holds further tech leadership experience having served as an executive for Vantiv, JP Morgan, Travelex and HSBC.

Paysafe confirms that Unni will be based in London, reporting directly to Group Chief Information Officer Roy Aston.

Aston commented on the appointment of Unni: “I am delighted to welcome Sujit to Paysafe at such an exciting time in our growth journey and I’m confident he will be a real asset to our technology leadership team as we drive forward our vision of being the world’s leading specialised payments platform.

“Sujit’s wealth of experience in the payments industry and strong technical knowledge will bring huge value to the team.”
