B2BinPay has moved to expand its marketing presence in Spain, through a new partnership LaLiga side, Athletic Bilbao.
The company, which provides blockchain and crypto processing wallets, made its debut at Sunday’s LaLiga match against Girona FC, where the men’s first team wore the sponsor’s logo on the left sleeve of their kit.
Arthur Azizov, B2BinPay’s CEO, commented: “It is a source of pride for our company to sponsor a team as big and historic as Athletic, with fans far beyond Bilbao.
“We’re confident the team will perform well in the remainder of the season and in the next one, with great chances of playing in European competitions. Therefore, in this agreement we see a great opportunity to promote crypto processing among football fans in Europe.”
The top-division club has asserted that, within the context of the recently presented Action Plan 2023-26 and in accordance with the objective of increasing operating income, it is working on ‘maximising sponsorship income’, in which it has reportedly already attracted the interest of new companies.
Athletic Bilbao’s agreement with European enterprise B2BinPay similarly follows one made with DIGI – the telecommunications arm of operator DIGI Communications – in November of last year.
This deal saw the operator’s branding displayed on the back of first-team strips, first starting in the Copa match against UD Alzira.
