BNPL firm Klarna has been keeping itself busy with the launch of its search tool platform ‘Spotlight’ as well as bolstering its partnership with NBA franchise the Chicago Bulls

The Klarna Spotlight tool is a new retail search solution that helps customers find the best price for their products. The platform enhances the BNPL firm’s stance as a “true shopping utility” for consumers and partners.

Spotlight also showcases a “thumb-stopping, shoppable video content” residing in the Klarna app, allowing users to watch and shop the latest trending items across 450,000 retail partners.

In addition, this latest product on the Klarna app enables users to watch, scan prices and then decide on which retail provider to buy from, in what CEO and Co-Founder, Sebastian Siemiatkowski, is describing as a “inspiring product discovery” experience.

He said: “Consumers have extremely high expectations around how they shop and pay. Whether they prefer to pay immediately, pay later or pay over time.

“But payments only solve one part of the puzzle. The new products revealed today mark a major milestone in Klarna’s evolution to become a place where consumers and retailers can now search, discover and create.

“From inspiring product discovery all the way to delivery tracking, digital receipts and seamless returns – we are powering e-commerce and accelerating trade across the world.”

Furthermore, Klarna has deepened its partnership with the Chicago Bulls, along with Bulls guard and Klarna brand ambassador, Zach LaVine

With the NBA season kick-starting this past Tuesday, Klarna is offering Bulls fans a “first in-seat merchandise” shopping experience where fans can use the Bulls mobile app to purchase products and have it delivered to their seat during the game.

“As the team’s Official Shopping Partner, we’re excited to work with the Bulls to bring “Smoooth Delivery” to fans in the United Center through the Bulls Mobile App, making shopping easier than ever before so that they don’t have to miss a second of the action,” said Megan Gokey, Head of B2C Marketing of North America at Klarna.

“Our two brands each share a commitment to innovation and exploring new ways to interact with fans, so we are excited to bring this new in-arena offering to life while also giving fans at home the tools they need to enhance their viewing experience with a shoppable collection from our ambassador, Zach LaVine.”

A separate partnership with LaVine will allow fans to access a collection of the Bulls guard’s favourite apparel via the Klarna app.

The collection of Bulls-branded items will give consumers a more enhanced gameday experience, as LaVine will feature on a social media post before tip-off, offering deals and prizes which includes a chance to win tickets by interacting with the Klarna app.

“I am passionate about helping our fans get game day ready and I’m excited to share some of my favourite team merch and other essentials through my custom collection on the Klarna app,” expressed LaVine.

“This way, no matter where our fans are, they can have access to everything they need to support the team they love this season and look good doing it.”
