Wirecard supports Amway in providing more payment capabilities

Global financial services provider Wirecard, announced an extension to its partnership with online retailer Amway to provide digital payment services to its customers in Thailand.

Wirecard implemented its financial commerce platform across multiple locations throughout Asia Pacific in 2017 and the success has led to further developments.

“We are delighted to be deepening our business partnership with Wirecard to drive our digital transformation efforts in Asia Pacific,” commented Kittawat Ritteerawee, managing director, Amway Thailand.

“Thailand is one of the key focus markets in the region, and our collaboration with Wirecard will enable us to leverage their state-of-the-art payment technology and meet the changing needs of today’s consumers – who are increasingly demanding for quality service and a seamless, personalized shopping experience.”

Through Wirecard, Amway can now offer its customers various payment options: credit, debit cards and provide the ability to pay for their online and point of sale (POS) purchases via installment plans.

Amway expects flexibility of more payment options will improve efficiency and convenience for its customers.

Jeffry Ho, regional managing director, Wirecard, said: “Our expanded agreement is a testimony to the success of our initial collaboration making us now the digital payment provider of choice for Amway. We are very pleased to accompany Amway in their digitalisation story.

“Through our platform and the broad spectrum of value-added services, we can establish a customer-oriented and cross-channel approach and thus further increase customer satisfaction. We will continue to expand our collaboration with Amway to deliver a unified commerce shopping experience to even more customers around the globe.”

Wirecard revealed it is also providing a white label solution for Amway Thailand to customise their hosted payment page for direct sellers.
