Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard has disclosed it has entered into a new partnership with Chinese focused e-commerce platform XBN to enable digital payments outside of China.
XBN surpassed a trading volume of more than $6 billion in 2018, covering a scope of 45 countries and regional markets.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Wirecard will provide global digital payment acceptance services to XBN and also support the platforms expansion in India.
Georg von Waldenfels, EVP group business development, Wirecard explained: “There is tremendous potential in partnering with XBN and bringing our global digital payment acceptance solutions to a leading global, rapidly growing e-commerce platform.”
“The opportunity, besides leveraging all of our traditional global payment products, is also to expand throughout India and leverage our SmartShop agent network for XBN by bringing digital e-commerce services to consumers in the rural parts of the Indian subcontinent.”
XBN sources its good directly from Chinese manufacturers and has helped thousands of Chinese suppliers “reinvent their global trading businesses.”
The company is a direct distributor of Chinese products for both B2C and B2B markets and cooperates with major international trading platforms and retailers, such as eBay, Amazon and Newegg.
The firm expect inclusion of Wirecard’s global approach will be enable the platform to offer a wider range of financial services to its suppliers.
