Carmela Borrotzu has been named the Senior Vice President of Finance and a member of the Executive Management Team APEXX Global.

The new SVP’s chief responsibilities at the payments orchestration platform will be to ‘spearhead’ its global finance function whilst providing support to CEO Peter Keenan and the remainder of the Board.

Her remit will include oversight of accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and investor relations functions, with a wider objective of accelerating the London-based firm’s global growth ambitions.

Borrotzu remarked: “APEXX is an incredibly innovative company that leads the global payments industry. I am eager to contribute to the next chapter of rapid, sustainable growth.

“My passion lies in partnering with sales, product, and technology leaders to fuel business transformation through financial leadership.”

Borrotzu’s previous roles have included an eight-year tenure as SVP Retail CFO at commerce solutions provider Planet, as well as senior positions at Updata Infrastructure and Fujitsu Services, finishing her time at these firms as Senior Finance Manager and Management Accountant respectively.

APEXX is a partner of various international brands in a number of sectors, such as airline RyanAir, and has cultivated links in the payments space with the likes of Trustly and Paysafe.

“We are delighted to welcome Carmela to APEXX Global in this critical leadership role,” said Peter Keenan, CEO and Co-Founder at APEXX.

“Her depth of strategic and operational finance experience will be invaluable as we continue to accelerate our global growth. Carmela’s impact will be instrumental in steering our company through the next phase of expansion.”
