AstroPay becomes the official payments partner of Tottenham

Looking to increase its presence in the Premier League, AstroPay has become Tottenham Hotspur’s official payments partner.

The payments platform was selected due to its range of loyalty and rewards platforms, which provides exclusive sports experiences. AstroPay and Spurs will work together to bring a club branded prepaid card to enable fans to purchase unique benefits and rewards.

Fans who use the Spurs-branded prepaid card and other AstroPay products will accumulate AstroPoints with each purchase. These points can then be redeemed to secure experiences, such as premium match tickets, signed merchandise, training centre tours and virtual player meet and greets.

Sofía Muró, AstroPay Vice President of Global Product Sales, added: “Our vision at AstroPay is to blend the worlds of finance and sports, creating unparalleled experiences. This partnership with Tottenham Hotspur is a testament to that mission.”

Fans will instantly receive a 20% discount to use in the Spurs Shop (online and in-store) once signed up and have early pre-sale access to the F1 DRIVE – London attraction opening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium later this year.

Non-UK card holders will also receive a complimentary one-year One Hotspur Connect membership.

Fans can sign up for a prepaid card at Astro Pay, verify their account and then request a digital card that can be added to Google Pay and Apple Pay and ready to use.

Ryan Norys, Tottenham Hotspur Commercial Sales Director, said: “We are incredibly excited to partner with AstroPay in bringing our fans a new payment method that enables them to show their passion for the Club in a unique way.

“Fans using our Spurs-branded prepaid card will be able to earn points whenever and wherever they spend to unlock a wide range of money-can’t-buy experiences and prizes.”

AstroPay branding will be visible across the stadium for the first time at Spurs’ next Premier League game against Manchester United on 19 August.
