Jumio, the eKYC and end-to-end identity verification supplier, has followed on from positive 2021 trading results to appoint Anna Convery as Chief Marketing Officer in order to bolster its overall marketing strategy.

Convery’s addition to the Jumio board builds on the selection of Bala Kumar to fill the Chief Product Officer vacancy in March, whilst the firm recorded a growth in revenue and sales of over 150% in Q2 2021.

Furthermore, the company has reported ‘record sales’ for its end-to-end AML compliance solutions, and also secured a $150 million funding round from Great Hill Partners.

Jumio projects that its YTD revenues are growing at more than 118% year-on-year, whilst also predicting further record-breaking achievements in 2021 as its systems have ‘already cleared over 100 million different transactions in 2021 so far alone’.

Commenting on Convery’s appointment, Jumio CEO, Robert Prgge, said. “I am so proud to welcome Anna to the team. It’s because of Jumio’s position as a leader in the digital identity market that we’re able to continuously attract top-caliber talent across all functions, from sales and marketing to technology, innovation and customer experience.

“Anna’s experience in building powerful, public brands will be invaluable to Jumio as we accelerate our growth strategy.”

The new appointee focuses on ‘building highly scalable, highly optimised marketing functions’ in order to deliver revenue and market value, and is also a long-time advocate for the advancement of women and girls in STEM education and professions, having been  recognised as a Women of the Year in Technology by the Georgia chapter of Women in Technology.

Prior to joining Jumio, Convery held the position of CMO at cybersecurity firm Bradware for close to five years, overseeing the company’s marketing strategy whilst also driving revenue and increasing market share by enhancing corporate marketing contribution.

In addition to Radware, Convery has accumulated experience in cryberstuciryt, AML, fraud, robotic process automation, voice analytics, biometrics, enterprise customer experience and customer journey analytics via marketing, sales and product management roles at OpenSpan and NICE Systems.

Convery remarked. “I am delighted to join a global world-class leadership team and to help further Jumio’s mission to make the internet a safer place. I very much look forward to working with Jumio’s extensive and ever-growing network of customers and partners.”
