Digital payments solution provider Trustly has announced the opening of two new tech hubs in Vitória, Brazil and Lisbon, Portugal.

Attempting to “further refine its online banking payment solutions,” Trustly expect the two new hubs to boost its global coverage as the firm continues to grow following its merger with PayWithMyBank.

Ulrica Falkenberg, Chief Human Resources Officer, Trustly, said: “With the addition of not one, but two new tech hubs, Trustly will have the resources it needs to scale healthily.”

Trustly will use the two hubs as part of the firms plans to expand its current engineering and product management teams outside of existing Swedish tech hubs in Stockholm and Örebro.

The hub based in Vitória, Brazil was inherited following the June merger and the company said it plans to hire a “significant number” of additional engineers across the next 12 months.

Lisbon was chosen due to its “wealth of tech talent, affordability and vibrant culture.” Currently employing four tech teams, Trustly is aiming to double the size before 2021.

“Each hub will contribute uniquely to Trustly’s overall growth and we are thrilled to welcome so many new colleagues around the world,” added Falkenberg.

“Working with teammates from other cultures not only strengthens our business, but makes our daily work more fun.”
