Payment terminal provider Ingenico has launched its latest acceptance and service product designed to handle a multitude of retail transaction issues.

The AXIUM CX9000 model is an all-in-one device that is backed by advanced payment technology to handle a range of checkout processes, including inventory management to smoothen the user experience.

Integrating ECR services to enable seamless transactions for retail merchants, the device also allows integrated sales, payment and business services for inventory management. AXIUM CX9000 will be available on Android 14 and features a 15.6 inch touchscreen that is Google Mobile Services certified. The solution is also PCI certified and falls within the remit of EMV V3 compliance

Furthermore, aiming to further simplify the checkout point-of-sale process, it supports ECR apps and is equipped with a customer-facing screen to facilitate payments and interaction at checkouts.

The plug-and-play feature also requires merchants to set up AXIUM CX9000 with minimal manual effort and provides an interface designed to make the transaction process simple for the retailer, as well as the customer.

The easy customer tool integration could provide loyalty programs, digital receipts, and CRM tools for enhanced customer experience in the future, as well as optional accessories including printer, cash drawer and bar code scanner.

Vincent Fillaud, Head of Accept Solutions at Ingenico, commented: “We are excited by the possibilities that the new AXIUM CX9000 provides for merchants.

Not only does it leverage Ingenico’s advanced payments technology, but it also offers a fast checkout experience, delivering a fully integrated solution answering to merchant needs in all aspects of their activity, round the clock.”

Speaking to Payment Expert last November, Ingenico’s Solutions & Software Architect Philippe Cece revealed why it has now become imperative for merchants to provide “as many possible different payment solutions to its customers”.
