Global provider of financial accounting software Intuit QuickBooks has become the official accounting software partner of Premier League football club West Ham United.

Under the agreement, the two organisations will focus on supporting SME growth within the club’s domestic fanbase. Intuit QuickBooks will leverage its financial management software and support businesses in the local community.

Michael Benjamin, Marketing Director at Intuit QuickBooks, commented: “It’s an incredible honour to come together with such a huge, historic club where tradition, passion and community are at its foundation. West Ham United and Intuit QuickBooks have a shared vision of championing dreams.”

Founded in 1992, Intuit QuickBooks has grown to be globally recognised as a leader in providing accounting software, currently catering to over 6.5 million customers worldwide.

This agreement isn’t the first sporting partnership the firm has completed. In 2021, Intuit agreed a deal with NBA team LA Clippers, holding the official naming rights of the Intuit Dome, the Clippers’ stadium.

“For QuickBooks, this is reflected in our goal to hero business owners to do things differently and create something unique, which can power prosperity around the world and a better future for all,” Benjamin added.

“West Ham United very much embodies these principles. From its iconic Vice Chairman, Baroness Karren Brady who is herself a champion to business leaders, to becoming one of the fastest growing football brands that defied the odds to win the UEFA Europa Conference League.

“We look ahead with excitement to how this partnership will inspire our respective fans and customers.”

In terms of brand opportunities, the partnership will include matchday, social and digital rights. Additionally, it will also enable businesses within the Premier League club’s fanbase to connect and explore beneficial commercial opportunities together.

Nathan Thompson, Chief Commercial Officer at West Ham United, said: “We are delighted to partner with Intuit QuickBooks, a brand globally renowned for working with businesses of all sizes.

“East London has always had a proud business heritage – from the local market traders who are pillars of their communities to now also being home to the modern global financial district of Canary Wharf.

“We are delighted that Intuit QuickBooks recognise the significant opportunity this partnership provides them and we are excited to create new pathways to sustained success for our fans and their businesses.”
