KOHO Financial has been named presenting partner of the NBA, securing visibility for its fintech solutions ahead of the 2024 playoffs.

The collaboration between the two parties marks the NBA’s first marketing partnership with KOHO and the fintech will gain significant exposure on Canadian TV network stations for the league’s most pivotal few months of the season.

The announcement coincides with the start of the 2024 NBA Playoffs and will feature the launch of the 2024 NBA Playoffs Sweepstakes presented by KOHO.

Daniel Eberhard, Founder and CEO of KOHO, stated: “We’re thrilled to partner with the NBA. The NBA has given us some of the most iconic moments in sports history.  It’s been a huge part of so many of our childhoods,”

“This partnership gives us a chance to reach more Canadians together, with a shared sense of values and progress.”

KOHO is gifting basketball fans a $75 e-gift card for the NBA Store when they sign up to its app, with further benefits including tickets to NBA games to the 2024/25 season each week of this season’s playoffs.

More than 1.5 million Canadians have signed up to KOHO, which offers a Mastercard for spending control alongside tools to assist with earning, building and borrowing.

KOHO also offers interest rates in Canada of up to 5%, up to 3% cash back on spending, and more earnings with its cash back partners.

NBA Canada Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Leah MacNab, added: “We’re excited to welcome KOHO as presenting partner of the NBA Playoffs in Canada. As we enter a highly anticipated postseason, we look forward to working together to engage NBA fans and KOHO members across the country in new and creative ways.”
