Monzo is set to expand its Buy Now Pay Later capabilities through the launch of a virtual card that can bring the payment journey to retail transactions.
The card will be available via Apple Pay or Google Pay and allows payments in-store, as it builds on the growth on Buy Now Pay Later, a service that has had an elevated spike in engagement during the pandemic.
It comes off the back of consumer feedback that underlined a desire for deeper usage of BNPL payments, as it expands into in-store payments, as well as online in the digital space.
