myPOS elevates online payments acceptance with AMEX

European payment solutions provider, myPOS has announced the extension of its online payments acceptance of American Express (AMEX) cards.

It means the solution is now available to all myPOS merchants receiving online payments though myPOS API integrations, checkout plugins, MO/TO Online Terminal, PayLinks and PayButtons.

Previously, AMEX cards were only accepted through the myPOS payment terminals, while online acceptance was available to selected merchants only. Effective from 16 January 2020, AMEX payments are available to the entire myPOS client base across the EEA. This welcome change means that all myPOS merchants will be able to accept more customers choosing to pay with their AMEX debit or credit cards.

Christo Georgiev, CEO of myPOS commented: “AMEX cards are available to individuals, small businesses and corporate consumers on four continents in more than 130 countries globally.

“By accepting AMEX cards, myPOS merchants will be able to expand online card acceptance, reach more customers and increase their revenue.’’

myPOS Online includes a range of solutions enabling merchants to accept payments remotely, even without the need of a website or online store.

They vary from a Shopping Cart Checkout -the most popular solution for eCommerce platforms to MO/TO Online Terminal – a way of getting paid with a debit/credit card via phone or mail, along with the ready-to-use PayLink and PayButton, which can be used by merchants on social media, in an email or SMS when sending an offer or invoice to their customers.

Other cards and mobile wallets accepted at myPOS include Visa, Visa Electron, VPay, Mastercard, Maestro, UnionPay, JCB, Bancontact, iDeal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
