PaymentsMB aims for Europe expansion through Cardstream

Canadian turnkey payment service provider (PSP) PaymentsMB has announced a new partnership with European PSP Cardstream.

Through the partnership, PaymentsMB will adopt Cardstream’s open payment network (OPN) in order to access Europe and “drive into new vertical markets.”

Doug Barber, head of acquiring and business development, PaymentsMB explained: “For subscription services such as digital streaming, it’s important that we can help provide our merchants with a broad network of acquirer relationships to help grow their businesses.

“Cardstream’s extensive network of acquirers gives us the ability to offer our customers more options and avenues for their processing, so they can grow above the thresholds we’ve set for them.”

Using the OPN, PaymentsMB will be able to connect with a conglomerate of acquirers and also gain technical integration support.

Furthermore, Cardstream is able to provide full control of transaction routing through tokenisation and velocity checking.

Cardstream’s ecosystem comprises its OPN which features partners, platforms and payment technologies.

Pivotal to this is Cardstream’s payment hub – an open and compliant white-label cloud platform that enables businesses to access the OPN through a single API integration.

PaymentsMB focuses on digital content subscription services and will now gain access to a network of European acquirers; the firm expects its reach to expand “rapidly”.

Adam Sharpe, CEO, Cardstream stated: “Cardstream’s Open Payment Network gives companies like PaymentsMB the ability to grow their presence in continental Europe at pace.

“We are looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership and providing the ongoing support needed to improve their connectivity with the right acquirers for their business.”
