LUXHUB agrees Rakuten Bank Europe SA compliance deal

European Open Banking API Platform service provider LUXHUB has disclosed it has secured a new partnership with Rakuten Bank Europe SA.

The partnership has been setup to support Rakuten with compliance ahead the looming PSD2 deadline whilst also “unlock the potential of open banking.”

Founded in 2018 by four Luxembourgish banks (BCCE, BGL BNP Paribas, Raiffeisen and Post) LUXHUB is a turnkey European solution providing managed services.

The addition of Rakuten takes the firms total of compliance partners in Europe to 34 financial institutions under 10 different regulators.

Rakuten Bank Europe SA is a fully licensed credit institution established in Luxembourg and is a subsidiary of the Japanese tech giant Rakuten, Inc. 

Reasoning behind LUXHUB stems from the firms “agility in the technical and business fields” along with the speed and power of its software.
