Global payments provider Paysafe has revealed new collaborative work with Skrill USA, digital wallet and online payments provider.
Through the partnership Paysafe will launch its online banking payments service in the US through Skrill’s digital wallet.
Once logged in with their bank account, the consumer will be able to process transactions via automated clearing house (ACH) or wire transfer – without needing to leave the merchants website.
Lorenzo Pellegrino, CEO, Rapid Transfer, Paysafe Group, said: “Our Q4 2018 research reveals that only a fifth of smaller US online merchants (22%) offer direct bank transfer.
“This suggests there is significant space for Rapid Transfer’s growth in the US market, especially considering the product’s benefits for card not present merchants and their customers as well as its strong uptake across Europe.”
Paysafe forecast integrating its service will only improved user experience for its merchant clients due to convenience of not leaving the website with no additional consumer registration necessary.
Rapid Transfer also enables fund transfers from their bank account to their Skrill digital wallet, on top of processing merchant payments through online banking.
The service has been available in 18 European countries since 2016 and is integrated with over 3,000 banks globally.
In August 2015, Optimal Payments acquired Skrill that lead to the creation of Paysafe Group. Skrill USA currently sits outside of Paysafe Group and is not a business unit within the company.
