Bitpanda has announced a multi-market partnership with DAZN, spanning Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France.
Under the agreement, Bitpanda will become the official cryptocurrency partner of DAZN, securing extensive advertising placements and exposure in major European leagues and competitions broadcast by the media company.
This deal fits with Bitpanda’s strategy of leveraging sports to promote its brand. The company has previously partnered with major sports entities like Bayern Munich, AC Milan and most recently, the NFL.
Maik Brodowski, Commercial Director of Europe at Bitpanda, said: “We have already brought high-caliber brands on board this year with FC Bayern Munich, AC Milan, the NFL, and many other partnerships.
“With DAZN, we now also have the sports platform with the widest reach at our side to further increase our brand awareness. Our goal is clear: to have an unmistakable presence in all of our core markets. With DAZN, we have the perfect partner to achieve this goal.”
In the DACH region, the crypto exchange will secure prominent advertising slots, including the halftime presentation during DAZN’s Bundesliga coverage. The UEFA Champions League will also showcase exclusive placements within the competition’s revamped format.
In Italy and France, Bitpanda will make use of tailored advertising space during Serie A and Ligue 1 McDonald’s matches. The move comes after DAZN’s recent success in securing the majority of live broadcasting rights for Ligue 1, alongside providing official live broadcasts of Italian matches to audiences in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Haruka Gruber, SVP Media at DAZN DACH, commented: “This multi-market partnership is a testament to the unique strength that DAZN, as the ultimate global sports destination, offers brands that want to take place in the premium environment of high-reach live sports events. We are proud to have gained a new partner in Bitpanda, which also already has a large network in the sports business.”
