E-money specialist Pecunpay has become the first Mastercard partner in Spain to implement payments through the Mastercard Send service.
The fintech now offers near real-time money transfers to cards in the Mastercard ecosystem across the globe. Transactions can be made from a Pecunpay account or card to a debit, credit or prepaid Mastercard, at any time of the day.
Utilising Mastercard’s Send service is part of Pecunpay’s service expansion strategy, which will see the introduction of instant money transfers, travel insurance, life insurance, incentives and loyalty programmes, communication improvements, and Apple Pay and Google Pay support.
The company is also looking into potential verticals that will see the addition of BNPL offerings into its lineup of services.
