OKTO has added another milestone in Germany, as Wunderino, a leading name in the virtual slots market, has rolled out OKTO.CASH as a new payment option.
The integration caters to players who prefer using cash but want the convenience of online gaming. With OKTO.CASH, enables users to deposit money at more than 14,000 retail locations across Germany directly into their Wunderino accounts.
Mikhail Ovsepyan, Head of DACH at OKTO, said this launch reflects the company’s growing reputation for “delivering payment solutions that meet the needs of modern, mobile-centric players”.
He continued: “Our embedded payment technology fully integrates with Wunderino’s platform, allowing instant deposits without users ever leaving the app or site. It’s the ideal solution for those wanting the benefits of digital while still using cash.”
While OKTO’s footprint in Germany is still early days, it has quickly emerged as a go-to payment solution partner for the betting industry. The Greek-based payments provider partnered with Interwetten last October and launched in the nation last July through a partnership with bet-at-home.
These deals caught the attention of Wunderino, according to Romain Guilbert, Head of Operations and Payment Product at Wunderino, who noted OKTO’s “strong track record in digital payments”.
However, Guilbert highlighted that the reason the company selected OKTO was a drive to enhance its players’ gaming experience.
He added: “By introducing OKTO.CASH, our users can deposit cash at familiar retail locations, giving them more flexibility and control. In a fast-paced and competitive environment, offering cutting-edge, mobile-first options is vital.”
OKTO’s next phase of growth
The firm’s ambitions don’t stop with its latest German partnership. The company entered into a new chapter at the start of the month, with the newly appointed Group CEO Edward Chandler.
Chandler, who brings over three decades of experience from roles at Visa, Mastercard, Barclays and more, is tasked with accelerating OKTO’s growth across high-potential sectors and regions – with Germany being a core focus.
At the time of his appointment, Chandler said: “With my career rooted at the intersection of payments, technology, and commerce, I’ve seen firsthand how innovation can transform businesses and customer experiences.
“OKTO is uniquely positioned to lead the next generation of seamless, secure, and customer-centric payment solutions, helping merchants navigate the future of payments.”
