Cloud-first digital bank myTU has launched Google Pay for its customers across Europe to provide more payment options online.
The new feature will enable individuals and businesses to add their debit card to Google Wallet, with an aim to help make payments become more convenient and secure. Customers will be able to install Google Pay from app stories on iOS and Android.
The integration of Google Pay reflects on the ongoing surge in consumer demand for digital wallet options, which have become one of the most predominant payment methods in recent years. According to Visa, digital wallets are projected to account for over 52% of global e-commerce transactions by 2025.
myTU has acknowledged this growing demand, with the Google Pay launch reflecting the bank’s ambition to expand its digital offerings and presence.

For myTU’s individual clients, Google Pay offers to bring ease and convenience to everyday transactions, such as paying for groceries, public transportation, or online shopping. Payments are completed faster, and customers benefit from Google Pay’s security features, which ensure that card details remain encrypted and protected during purchase.
myTU’s business customers can also benefit from this new functionality due to a recent launch of the myTU business debit card across the European Economic Area (EEA).
Businesses can now issue both physical and virtual Visa cards for their employees. By adding these cards to Google Wallet, which can streamline their payment processes, allowing teams to make purchases efficiently and securely
