Global payment service provider MiFinity has installed Apple Pay to its mobile app enabling customers and merchants to perform transactions with the popular payment method.

The ewallet provider stated that Apple Pay’s integration will provide a simplified transaction process to assist customers with a seamless payment experience.

MiFinity, which has a host of partnerships within the gambling industry as a payment processor and facilitator, will support merchants and customers with Apple Pay’s introduction as it allows deposits to go directly to the MiFinity eWallet.

The added speed of transaction that Apple Pay affords can help relevant gambling companies offer it to customers to boost customer loyalty.

Paul Kavanagh, CEO of MiFinity, commented: “This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to listening to feedback from our partners and customers.

“By integrating Apple Pay, we can offer a tailored, forward-thinking solution. We also look forward to launching Google Pay soon, extending similar benefits to Android users.”

Privacy and security features will also be a part of Apple Pay’s implementation. The payment method leverages authentication models, such as Face ID, fingerprint and passcode, to ensure all card details are private and protected.

The addition of Apple Pay to MiFinity ewallets could help drive more consumer adoption for its MiFinity eWallet as it is one of the most popular payment methods in the world.
According to UK Finance, Apple Pay, amongst other digital wallets, contributed to 42% of all contactless payments in the UK in 2023, continuing its upward trajectory in usage amongst multiple demographics.
