NatWest has collaborated with digital payment leader Visa to launch a new travel reward credit card designed to give its customers more benefits when travelling overseas.

Available for UK NatWest customers, the new travel card offers a range of features and benefits when customers make purchases on a variety of travel expenses.

The card enables 1% back on travel spending on planes, trains, car rentals, ferries and buses, as well on accommodation, travel agent fees, cruises, campsites and more.

The travel reward card comes with no annual fees and no foreign transaction fees for purchases abroad. Customers can gain back 1%-15% back from selected retail partners.

Mandy Lamb, Managing Director, UK & Ireland at Visa, commented: “As part of our long-term collaboration, we’re delighted that NatWest will launch this new credit card in the UK, helping to deliver seamless, secure and flexible payment experiences.

“Together we’ll bring our world-class capabilities to millions of NatWest’s customers with all our products and services underpinned by our global commitment to be the best way to pay and be paid.”

The launch is the latest in a long-term collaboration between Visa and NatWest to offer customers access to Visa’s debit and credit cards, helping them manage spending with greater ease, security, flexibility and control.

As part of this partnership, NatWest launched a campaign that leveraged its sponsorship of Team GB and Visa’s sponsorship of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Existing NatWest customers who were interested in the card were offered a chance to win a pair of tickets to a travel experience to the Olympic Closing Ceremony in Paris and an Olympic event, courtesy of Visa.

Salim Secretary, Head of Payment Schemes and Partnerships at NatWest Group, added: “Our new Travel Reward Credit card is rewarding our customers with one percent back on their travel spend.

“It is through our long-term collaboration with Visa that we have been able to further extend the choice of cards available to our customers.”
