Rank Group, one of the UK’s largest casino operators, has become the first British gambling company to leverage the Department of Trust’s (DoTrust) latest Complete platform. .
The London-headquartered company will utilise DoTrust’s latest product which is designed to conduct end-to-end frictionless ‘enhanced financial risk checks’ throughout the customer journey.
This type of product has taken on a much more significant role in the UK gaming payments space in recent years, driven by the recommendations of the Gambling Act review White Paper.
Published in April last year, ‘finance risk checks’ – or ‘affordability checks’ as the measures are otherwise known – were a flagship policy of the White Paper. The government is hoping to fully implement the regulatory reforms this year.

DoTrust aims to provide a single platform offering all the necessary checks, including frictionless income and vulnerability checks, whilst also providing operators the option to design their own risk methodology to meet changing regulatory developments.
The company believes that the challenging environment faced by operators in the UK, particularly having to rely on multiple providers for financial risk, affordability, AML and safer gambling requirements, will only increase as White Paper recommendations are adopted.
DoTrust Complete is seemingly off to a good start via its commercial partnership with Rank Group, an LSE listed company which is active throughout the UK as operator of Mecca Bingo, and Grosvenor Casinos.
