National Bank of Canada (NBC) has renewed its partnership of over 20 years with CGI for a further 10 years.

Following the deal, the bank said that its partnership will be strengthened for a further 10 years, leveraging CGI’s four decades of experience in the finance industry.

CGI will deliver a wide range of technology services and market-leading solutions, such as business consulting, innovative project development, systems integration, and wealth and payment solutions, which will help the bank further enhance its client experience.

Michael Godin, CGI Senior Vice-President, Greater Montréal, commented: “We are delighted to continue our journey with National Bank of Canada. This agreement exemplifies the trust National Bank of Canada has in CGI’s capabilities and we look forward to bringing the best of CGI globally to help the Bank accelerate its transformation.”

Over recent years, the two organisations have combined in other deals, in 2019 NBC chose the IT and business consulting firm as its new payments hub solution, which saw the bank implement CGI’s All Payments solution ahead of Canada’s regulatory changes.

Julie Levesque, Executive Vice-President of Technology and Operations at National Bank of Canada, said: “CGI is a trusted partner in the financial services sector. We value CGI’s expertise and commitment to excellence that will play an important role in our ongoing efforts to meet the evolving needs of our clients and stay at the forefront of the financial services industry.”
