Looking to bolster its growth within the UK and EEA markets, banking-as-a-service provider (BaaS) Contis, is eyeing client expansion into new geographies through a new solution launch, process.pay is card.

In launching the offering, the firm underlined its focus on both small and large banks, fintechs, businesses and non-finance players in the gaming and gifting sector.

Jason Ollivier, Chief Disruption Officer at Contis, commented: “This new offering will enable Contis to expand its service to current clients and support their growth, while also supporting Contis’s expansion into new geographies. Contis can now deliver standalone card processing for any organisation that already has the necessary license requirements and wish to retain control of the issuing capabilities.”

Furthermore, the scheme is certified by Visa and Mastercard to process any credit, debit and prepaid card transactions globally.

Ollivier added: “All clients will benefit from Contis’s 99.99% uptime capability and the same personal and efficient service – be they large or small. Our uptime is unrivalled, and the launch of process.pay is another example of how we are consistently innovating to remain at the top of the payment services sector, after operating in the space for more than 13 years.”

It comes as the importance of firms not allowing their customers to slip through the net takes on increased importance, and the reliance on fintechs being increasingly significant to the sector.

Expert Analysis: As we embark on a period of exponential growth and evolution within payments, the latest launch by Contis further elevates the firm’s ability to be at the heart of the digitalised sector – specifically as digital wallets take center stage. It also follows the firms merger with Solarisbank, which underlined its global ambitions.
