Postbank is expanding Bulgarian payment options with the launch of ONE wallet in the region. 

The expansion comes amid a backdrop of growth within the digital wallet space, as an increasing number of consumers are moving towards digit transactions. 

Based on Software Group’s Mobile Wallet platform, ONE wallet focuses on convenience, security and control in contactless card payments.

The capabilities of the wallet, currently available for use by active users, enable the bank’s customers to make payments in all retail outlets in the country and abroad, where a contactless POS terminal is available. 

Using ONE wallet by Postbank, consumers are able to focus on development. Additionally, users can benefit from a wide range of additional functionalities the bank plans to gradually implement in order to offer excellent customer experience.

Furthermore, a recent Skrill survey underlined the role of the digital wallet in Bulgaria, with a reported 38% of respondents stating that  they had either invested in or bought a cryptocurrency. 

Uncovering a number of trends on the rising popularity and adoption of cryptocurrency, a further 84% said they’d heard of at least one cryptocurrency, with 64% recognising Bitcoin.

In the US, UK, Canada, Germany, Italy, Austria and Bulgaria, 20% said they owned Bitcoin now or had done so in the past.
