Trulioo, the specialist global identity verification company, has confirmed the appointment of Leigh Ramsden as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

The new CFO brings more than 20 years of financial analysis and progressive leadership experience to Trulioo and will succeed Anne Lawlor, who will be retiring after serving the company for more than eight years. Lawlor will remain an advisor to the company to ensure a smooth transition.

Steve Munford, President and CEO of Trulioo commented: “I want to thank Anne for her significant contributions to the company throughout the years. During her time at Trulioo, she has added tremendous value and we truly appreciate her long-standing commitment to the company.”

In his new role, Ramsden will report to the CEO and lead all aspects of Trulioo’s finance function, including accounting, financial reporting and analysis, financial operations, capital planning, tax, treasury, and investor relations.

Previously, Ramsden served as Absolute Software’s Interim Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance, where he successfully led the development of Absolute’s financial planning and analysis function and financial technology infrastructure. He also recently participated in a successful US$69 million public equity raise and cross-listing to Nasdaq for the company.

“I can’t imagine a more exciting time to join Trulioo,” said Ramsden. “I’m thrilled to be part of the company’s mission to accelerate financial inclusion through verifiable digital identities for the entire global population. I look forward to working with Steve and the leadership team to drive strategic growth initiatives, profitability, and enhanced value for Trulioo shareholders.”

Prior to Absolute, Ramsden held various financial management roles in the technology sector, in addition to management roles in the technology practices of Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
