ClearBank has joined Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace, enabling customers to access its cloud-based banking solutions and payment infrastructure through the platform.
This partnership allows ClearBank to offer its banking solutions and payment infrastructure to all Azure customers, creating a significant growth opportunity. ClearBank’s clients can also leverage the Azure cloud platform to simplify deployment and management.
Furthermore, adopting ClearBank’s products via the Azure Marketplace offers commercial advantages to existing Microsoft customers.
John Salter, Chief Customer Officer at ClearBank, remarked: “Our long-standing collaboration with Microsoft has played an important role in ClearBank’s expansion, setting us up to grow globally whilst also accelerating our sustainability improvements.
“This latest move further strengthens these ties, opening up ClearBank to a wider pool of businesses as we look to push into new markets. We pride ourselves on our cloud-native approach and are confident that Microsoft’s systems will facilitate seamless adoption of our services to companies using Microsoft Azure.”
The two companies have been collaborating since 2017 through a sustainability initiative launched this year, aimed at achieving market-leading carbon efficiency in payments.
Additionally, they are both seeking to advance innovation in the financial sector by increasing the use of AI and automation tools.
Jake Zborowski, General Manager, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp, said: “Microsoft Azure Marketplace welcomes ClearBank, which joins a cloud marketplace landscape offering flexibility and economic value while transacting tens of billions of dollars a year in revenues.
“Thanks to Azure Marketplace and partners like ClearBank, customers can do more with less by increasing efficiency, buying confidently, and spending smarter.”
2024 has been a pivotal year for CleaBank, with the embedded finance firm focusing on global expansion.
In August, the company announced its European expansion after securing a Credit Institution licence from the European Central Bank under the supervision of De Nederlandsche Bank.
