Mastercard and TheFork have partnered to offer exclusive dining benefits to cardholders, with special access to reservations and curated experiences.

As per the agreement, European cardholders and those travelling to the continent will receive exclusive access to reservations and a selection of culinary experiences through priceless.com and TheFork platform.

Additionally, Mastercard will become the title sponsor of TheFork Awards and the preferred payment partner for TheFork PAY. The two entities have said that this partnership reflects both brands’ focus on making payments easier for diners and restaurants while improving the dining experience through technology.

Jorn Lambert, Chief Product Officer at Mastercard, commented: “Together with TheFork, we are thrilled to offer cardholders exclusive access to Europe’s top restaurants.

“From reserving a table at the most sought-after restaurants to enjoying a specially curated menu by a renowned chef, cardholders can unlock access to unique dining experiences. This partnership underscores our commitment to providing enhanced benefits for our cardholders.”

The partnership between TheFork and Mastercard will begin in 2025 and, over time, expand to offer benefits in all markets where TheFork operates, including Italy, France, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria and Sweden.

Jose Noguer, Chief Marketing Officer, TheFork, remarked: “We’re thrilled to enter this partnership with Mastercard and to further strengthen our position as the leading partner for the restaurant industry in Europe.

“We are committed to expanding our ability to offer exceptional and unique dining experiences across all our markets, and we’re excited to bring these experiences to Mastercard cardholders.”

Mastercard has recently enhanced its European card offering through a partnership with NatWest. Earlier this week, the payments giant introduced a new mobile virtual card solution for businesses, called Approval2Buy with Mobile Virtual Cards. This service is Europe’s first to implement Mastercard’s mobile virtual card app, which allows businesses to issue virtual cards to employees for global use.
