Pēteris Daliņš has been appointed the new VP of Operations at GoCardless, as the company looks to further expand its international reach.

He joins the firm shortly after its acquisition of Open Banking company Nuapay, which GoCardless lauded as a significant moment in expanding the depth of its business.

Daliņš will be tasked on building on these foundation in his new role, whilst also heading up its office in Riga, Latvia, as site leader. His remit will encompass customer operations, risk operations, payment processing and billing.

“With his international experience and track record of driving operational excellence, Pēteris is the perfect fit for this role. I look forward to working with him and the Riga team to enable GoCardless to deliver on our long-term strategy.”

Daliņš’ prior roles include senior management and executive positions in technology and business in Australia, Asia and Europe. His most recent role was as Director of KPMG Baltics’ ‘Lighthouse’ project.

A two year tenure with digital business Emergen saw him conclude his time at the company in the role of VP Global Delivery and Chairman. Prior to his move into digital businesses, he worked in the beveridges space at Asian Beverages and Schweppes.
