Cryptocurrency payment platform Wirex is ramping up its efforts to counter dark web risks by integrating security solutions from ZeroFox

Wirex will incorporate ZeroFox’s monitoring tools into its systems by combining human and artificial intelligence to securely scan for potential dark web risks such as leaked data, compromised credentials and protect other sensitive information.

By embedding this new security solution, the crypto firm is aiming to identify and stop potential attacks from happening in real-time as well as prevent any type of escalation, ensuring a quick and responsive approach.

Of particular concern to Wirex and a main driving force behind its adoption of ZeroFox is the combat against mule accounts – a money laundering tactic laundering where someone receives money from a third party to send to another account whilst receiving commission from the transfer.

Pavel Matveev, CEO & Co-Founder of Wirex, commented: “It is a significant step forward in our continuous commitment to improving online security.

“The cutting-edge technology offered by ZeroFox has played a crucial role in strengthening our defenses, especially in combating the rise of the money mule accounts. This has reinforced our standing as a reliable financial platform.”

“Together with ZeroFox’s advanced solution, Wirex is setting new standards in financial security, effectively tackling the challenges posed by the Dark Web and mule accounts in the digital finance landscape.”
