Paysafe has strengthened its expansion across the US announcing its entry into the Ohio online sports-betting market.
It builds on the firm’s entry into the Maryland iGaming space in Q4 2022 – enhancing its presence in the region, as it brings its Skrill digital wallet into the market. Furthermore, it also means that Paysafe now supports iGaming operators with payments in 25 different US states or jurisdictions.
Zak Cutler, President of Global Gaming at Paysafe, commented on the expansion: “We’re delighted to begin the year by extending our US iGaming payments footprint into Ohio, which ranks as the most important American sports-betting market to launch since New York a year ago.

In announcing the link, Paysafe has extended its longstanding payments partnerships with these two operators into Ohio along with several other existing partners – Betfred Sportsbook, Betway,Hard Rock Sportsbook, and SuperBook Sports, among others.
During a recent interview with Payment Expert, Cutler emphasised that due iGaming’s shift into the mainstream means ‘it’s never been more important to support operators with all players’ preferred payment methods not just card payments, but also alternative payment methods’.
He added: “Through our API, operators can seamlessly integrate all the payment methods their players would ever want for wagering – from our Skrill USA digital wallet and Paysafecash eCash solution, to third-party APMs.
“We’ve also responded to increased player demand for faster deposits and payouts with our upgraded Skrill USA wallet, supporting instant deposits direct from players’ bank accounts as well as the ability to cash-out at unprecedented speed.
“We further enhanced the wallet with the launch of the Skrill VIP player program for high-stakes bettors.
