Sightline Payments has partnered with Mastercard to launch its Play+ Mastercard, a service that will allow its igaming clients to reward customers with branded bank cards.
The partnership follows the launch of Sightline’s first Play+ Mastercard with Resorts World Las Vegas, which opened this June.
Cardholders can pay for all gaming and non-gaming activities by syncing the card with their smartphones using digital wallets or the Resorts World Las Vegas mobile app.
Resorts World Las Vegas opening of the Play+ Mastercard signifies a benchmark in the casino gaming industry’s digital transformation by offering a first-of-its-kind fully cashless experience across the entire integrated resort.
“The foundation of Play+ is to provide customers with a safe, secure and responsible payments experience to fund their gaming and entertainment,” said Joe Pappano, Co-CEO of Sightline Payments.
“Our collaboration with Mastercard will further cement that goal and we look forward to working together to enhance payment options within the gaming industry and further the digital transformation of the consumer experience.”
Play+ Mastercard has been customised using the payment processor’s tokenization technology, that replaces a physical card number with a unique token that can only be used by the merchant that requested it, providing additional security to cardholders.
Expanding the partnership, Sightline aims for Play+ Mastercard to become the cashless payment and rewards solution for tier- omni-channel operators.
“As consumers increasingly seek digital-first experiences, we’re pleased to partner with Sightline to enable a fully digital engagement for the patrons at Resorts World Las Vegas leveraging our tokenization capabilities and innovative card solutions,” said Chiro Aikat, Executive Vice President of Products & Innovation for Mastercard in North America.
