I studied International Relations at Durham University, but prior to this and during my time at University, I was out working with my grandparents on the racecourses taking bets as part of the family business. I did this from the age of 18, and have really enjoyed being out on the course watching the racing. I got into journalism whilst at Durham, writing for the college newspaper and the politics journal, and eventually went to intern at The Times. When I'm not working, I'm usually out trying out new restaurants or at home with the cats.
