Revolut has partnered with Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air to streamline what the fintech describes as “extremely long and complex” payment processes.

As part of the agreement, Revolut will enable one-click checkouts, initially available through its app, with website integration set for May.

UK customers using Revolut Pay can now book Wizz Air flights without re-entering payment details by selecting Revolut Pay at checkout. This feature, aiming to streamline payments, will be available on the Wizz Air website soon, allowing customers to complete their flight purchases in seconds.

Alex Codina, General Manager of Acquisition at Revolut, said: “We are so excited to have Wizz Air on board as a Revolut Pay partner and to support them with making the customer journey as seamless and secure as possible from start to finish.

“Especially in the travel sector, payment processes can be extremely complex and long. We believe this should not be the case, and partnering with trusted and innovative brands like Wizz Air allows us to keep building the future of payments in the industry together.“

Furthermore, the deal also offers several benefits for Revolut customers. New users can earn up to £25 back after signing up and spending their first £5. Additionally, customers can earn RevPoints, which can be redeemed on Revolut Pay purchases or Wizz Air flights.

The fintech added that users who pay for Wizz Air flights with Revolut Pay can earn 10x more RevPoints on their purchases until 4 April 2025.

Ian Malin, Chief Financial Officer at Wizz Air, added: “We are delighted to have partnered with Revolut as we look to bring even more flexibility and enhanced user experience to our customers.

“With Revolut, our customers are not only getting the best Wizz Air deals but are able to earn rewards to spend on their future trips and other purchases. This partnership gives 62 million Wizz Air passengers access to Revolut’s disruptive fintech solutions, cheaper payment options and, ultimately, lower air fares.”

Revolut has entered a series of new markets such as travel already this year. In January, the company marked its entrance into the UK telecommunications market through a deal with Lyca Mobile.
