International payments platform Thunes has emphasised the importance of a strong culture with the appointment of Jane Jackson as Chief People Officer.
As Chief People Officer, Jackson will spearhead Thunes’ people strategy, which includes shaping culture, boosting organisational effectiveness and enhancing talent development across 14 international locations.

Reporting directly to Thunes CEO Floris de Kort, Jackson will also oversee the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, while fostering engagement among Thunes’ diverse team of over 450 employees from more than 60 nationalities.
Before joining Thunes, Jackson held roles at a range of companies, including Xplor Technologies, Worldpay, Kilnbridge, Dyson and DHL. With over 15 years of people function leadership experience, she has gained expertise in strategic transformation, organisational design, talent acquisition and retention, reward and engagement
Commenting on her new role, Jackson said: “Thunes has a remarkable global footprint and clear momentum. I look forward to partnering with Floris and the leadership team to build a people infrastructure that empowers our Thunesters globally and supports our growth.”
Growth is one of the main reasons for her appointment. De Kort has highlighted the need to bring Thunes’ staff together, which becomes an increasingly more difficult task as the company expands globally.
2024 saw the Singapore-based fintech grow its reach to several new markets across the world. Last November, Thunes added Turkey to its global network, following a deal with Turkish fintech Papara.
Elsewhere, Thunes reached new endpoints through a strategic partnership with payments giant Visa. This agreement enhanced Thunes cross-border payment network throughout countries in Africa and Asia, including Kenya, the Philippines, Indonesia and Pakistan.
Floris de Kort concluded: “As a truly international business, Thunes depends on a robust People strategy to bring our global team together. We firmly believe our talent is the true long-term differentiator in our business. Jane’s expertise in cultivating high-performing workforces will be pivotal in strengthening our culture and propelling our growth.”
