FreedomPay has launched a new strategic partnership with Mastercard to provide businesses with a global payment gateway solution.

The collaboration sees both parties come together to create a simplified, extended solution that seeks to streamline businesses’ abilities to connect with acquirers in being able to accept a wide range of payment methods.

FreedomPay will lean on its presence and knowledge of the North American, European and Latin American markets, in which it is active in, and leverage Mastercard’s payment capabilities to help relevant businesses connect with more payment systems and better help process transactions.

Chris Kronenthal, President of FreedomPay, said: “The complexity of navigating diverse payment systems across borders can hinder the growth of international commerce.

“By joining forces with Mastercard, we are breaking down these barriers and empowering merchants with a single, unified platform for seamless global transactions.”

Central to the global payment gateway are four key areas; expanded global reach, enhanced security, simplified integration and value-added services.

The solution will combine access to over 230 acquirers and acceptance of a range of local and global payment methods, with 24/7 tech support across the world through PCI-validated security measures to mitigate risk.

Via a single integration point to help reduce complexity and accelerate time to market, the additional services include personalised incentives, business intelligence and advanced fraud prevention tools.

“Mastercard is committed to providing businesses with the tools and flexibility they need to thrive in today’s dynamic global market,” added Kaushik Gopal, EVP of Mastercard Enterprise Gateway Solutions.

“This partnership with FreedomPay enables us to deliver a best-in-class payment gateway solution that simplifies cross-border transactions and unlocks new growth opportunities for our customers.”
