Global payment services leader Wordline has partnered with Dubai-based Telr to enhance e-commerce payments via the latter’s payment gateway.
Recognising the potential of the developing UAE payments ecosystem, Worldline will provide Telr with a full range of its payment services and capabilities to simplify online transactions for global online businesses across Dubai and wider UAE.
The partnership will combine Worldline’s global payments expertise with Telr’s local market knowledge and strong relationships to empower e-commerce businesses to access local and international cards and mobile payments, with localised checkout processes.
There is also a focus on providing higher approval rates and optimised costs to relevant UAE businesses, as well as local remittance fees, cross-border capabilities in more than 20 currencies and enhanced fraud and chargeback protections.

Over the past 20 years, the UAE has become a global hub for investment and tourism, thanks to its strategic location and low-tax environment. E-commerce has seen rapid growth in this respect, with a 20% CAGR since 2017 and revenues expected to reach $10.7bn by 2029.
In response to the Middle Eastern’s developing reputation, Worldline will launch a UAE solution as part of its strategy to help businesses tap into high-growth markets such as Türkiye, South Korea and Thailand.
