Temenos has announced plans to give banks greater control over their information while leveraging generative AI, through a partnership with NVIDIA.

Temenos will use NVIDIA’s platform to deploy its generative AI on bank premises, enabling banks to deliver fast, accurate AI-driven services while retaining control over their data. This empowers banks to offer more personalised, customer-centric experiences by processing unstructured data on-site.

The generative AI also incorporates ‘explainable’ AI across various solutions, including credit scoring, anti-money laundering, payment exceptions, customer engagement and cross-selling. It provides business users with immediate access to insights and reports, helping them streamline operations, boost productivity and enhance customer experiences.

Barb Morgan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Temenos, commented: “This collaboration exemplifies the strength of combining Temenos’ banking expertise with NVIDIA’s industry-leading AI infrastructure, giving banks powerful tools to serve customers in real-time with precision and control.

“At Temenos, we believe in responsible, customer-centric AI that empowers banks to innovate on their own terms. With NVIDIA, we’re helping enable banks to unlock the future of financial services – where data-driven insights meet unparalleled performance and customer-centric innovation.”

Temenos’ generative AI will run on NVIDIA’s NIM microservices, part of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise platform, which enhances AI performance and simplifies deployment, scaling and management of AI models. This looks to allow banks to scale their AI capabilities, respond to customer needs faster and ensure more effective, responsive and compliant banking.

Additionally, the company’s generative AI solutions will operate on NVIDIA’s verified deployment architecture, allowing them to be distributed and deployed through NVIDIA’s network of partners.

Malcolm deMayo, VP of Global Financial Services at NVIDIA, stated: “AI is reshaping financial services, letting banks reimagine customer interactions and optimise secure, scalable and efficient operations.

“With Temenos’s integration of NVIDIA NIM microservices, banks can access real-time insights, identify areas for improvement, and deliver more personalised and responsive customer experiences.”

This deal is one of the first initiatives Morgan has been involved in since joining Temenos last month. She was hired to help strengthen the company’s global presence by implementing scalable cloud-based platforms and AI solutions tailored to the evolving needs of financial institutions.
