Monzo has partnered with Coventry City FC to become the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor ahead of the 2024/25 season.

In a one-season agreement, Monzo has announced it will be a principal partner of the club. This collaboration will provide the digital bank with substantial visibility in the Championship, the second tier of English football.

Currently, Monzo is the UK’s largest digital bank and the seventh largest retail bank, boasting nearly 10 million customers. Founded in 2015, the bank has a mission to “make money work for everyone” and values a “special connection” with its community.

Doug King, Owner and Executive Chairman at Coventry City, said: “Monzo is a fantastic partner for Coventry City and we hope that this will be the start of a successful and long-term relationship with them.

“As Coventry City FC looks to the future, engaging with a new set of customers and fans to rebuild our football club to be a powerful force amongst our community and within our country, Monzo likewise is a company that is dynamic, disruptive and forward thinking in their industry. We are extremely excited about this partnership and how it will unfold. We thank Monzo for their support and commitment in this new adventure.”

Monzo will be hoping that the club can replicate its impressive FA Cup run, where the team reached the semi-finals before being knocked out by Manchester United at Wembley.

AJ Coyne, Vice President of Marketing of Monzo, commented: “We’re excited to partner with Coventry City, a historic and storied club that has inspired fans up and down the country with their runs to the playoffs and the FA Cup semi finals. We both value a special connection with our communities and share a challenger mindset, so this was a match made in heaven.”
