GeoComply has been issued a conditional licence by the Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC).
The issuing means that the firm will be able to supply its geolocation and ID verification compliance services in the region as it continues growth in the US.
“We are delighted to get our license approved early in the process,” commented Lindsay Slader, SVP of Compliance at GeoComply.
“Compliance deadlines are coming quickly and we are in the strongest position to ensure our customers meet the requirements and submit complete and final geolocation procedures by November 2.”
Operators must submit their plans to the OCCC and receive approval by November 2 if they wish to begin accepting wagers on the betting market’s universal start date.
KYC service providers wishing to work in Ohio must obtain a supplier licence. GeoComply’s conditional supplier licence covers its geolocation services and IDComply product which, at this time, is the only age and identity verification service licensed in the region.
It follows GeoComply publishing data on the geolocation checks made at NFL stadiums during the first two weeks of the 2022 season, revealing State Farm Stadium, the site of this season’s Super Bowl, was near the top of its transaction volume analysis.
