Payments provider Payroc has acquired the omnichannel payment company Worldnet, bolstering its payment solution methods globally.

Payroc will look to implement Worldnet’s technology to further expand into the ISV (Independent Software Vendor) and embedded payment space.

The acquisition of Worldnet affords Payroc the opportunity to work more closely with various SaaS and ISV providers in the future.

Speaking on the acquisition, James Oberman, CEO of Payroc commented: “We’re extremely excited about the acquisition of Worldnet.

“Our joint offerings and capabilities will drive more value for partners and developers, and enable more flexibility to create unique payment solutions for consumers. The addition of Worldnet complements our existing products and brings additional payment facilitation capabilities to our team as we focus on delivering flexible, white-labelled solutions.”

Over the course of 15 years, Worldnet has become dedicated to providing payment gateways through technology. Worldnet looks to place a technological system in place for SaaS customers with a refined global payment software that helps facilitate an array of payment methods.

Payroc was supported by Parthenon Capital, a private equity firm who assisted the payment provider firm with completing the acquisition.

“We’re ready for this next chapter in the Worldnet story because ISVs and developers deserve a better way to integrate payments into their software,” stated John Clarke, CEO of Worldnet.

“With Payroc’s muscle, we’re positioned to deploy our leading-edge technology on a global scale to help ISVs unify their payment channels in a single platform. Our online, in-store, unattended, and mobile solutions offer an all-in-one embedded payment platform for scale.”
