Nuvei unveils new identity completing SafeCharge enlargement

Payment technology group Nuvei has unveiled its new corporate identity, brand logo and tagline, finalising its corporate enlargement with SafeCharge International assets.

In August 2019, Montreal-based Nuvei undertook a ‘transformative deal’ by acquiring European payment platform and merchant solutions provider SafeCharge for $890 million.

Nuvei and SafeCharge combined their payment services during a time of rapid marketplace consolidation,  in which its main market rivals were forming conglomerate deals. During this time, FIS acquired Worldpay, TSYS merged with Global Payments and Mastercard acquired Nets solutions.

Competing in a disrupted marketplace, the SafeCharge brand and assets have been absorbed by Nuvei, who this week unveiled its new brand identity and corporate website.

Updating stakeholders, Nuvei stated that its enlarged company will ‘breakdown all global payment barriers’, in which the company now provides a single integration API providing transactional services for 200 geographic regions.

Furthermore, Nuvei business partners will be serviced by an enhanced platform providing 450 alternative and local payment methods in 150 currencies

Phil Fayer, Nuvei’s chairman and CEO, said: “Businesses are looking for partners, both strategic and technological. We’ve become the payment technology partner that our clients can count on to make our world a local marketplace.

“We aim to deliver unified commerce solutions and expertise, helping our clients capture every payment opportunity that comes their way – no matter where or how they operate.”
