Payment Expert, the international media and events brand for the global payments sector, has announced the first seven members of its Advisory Board as it pushes ahead with ambitious growth plans for 2020.

The appointment of Board members from both technology suppliers and gaming businesses gives the Payment Expert team access to an additional level of industry knowledge, as well as in-depth insights into what payments professionals want from events and news services.

This expertise will feed into the agendas for the 2020 conferences it has scheduled in London, Malta and Barcelona, helping to ensure they focus on the key issues in technology, regulation and consumer trends that will shape the future of the industry.

Among those selected for the Board are Trustly’s Director of Gaming Samuel Barrett, who acted as Chair for the two Payment Expert Forums in London in 2019, and emerchantpay’s SVP, Global Gambling and FX Sectors Chris Smart, who will take on the same role at the event in Malta later this year.

They will be joined by five more renowned figures from the industry, Isabelle Delisle (Global Head of Payment Solutions, Pinnacle), Steven Armstrong (Group Director of AML, William Hill), Warren Russell (CEO, W2 Global Data), Andrea McGeachin (Chief Commercial Officer, Neosurf) and Paul Bolton (Consultant, former Head of Payments of GVC).

Barrett said: “Having had the opportunity to help conceive, develop and chair the Payment Expert Forum, I’m delighted to be further strengthening our relationship by joining the Advisory Board.

“The Payment Expert Forum is the perfect knowledge hub for both payments solutions suppliers and operators in the online gambling industry and beyond, so the prospect of working with my fellow Advisory Board members to assist the business with its growth plans is an exciting one.”

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO of SBC, said: “All seven of the Advisory Board members have been great supporters of Payment Expert’s conferences and media services since we launched the brand, so it’s great to welcome them all to the team in a more official capacity.

“The fact that seven high-profile experts were so eager to work with us demonstrates the quality of the Payment Expert offer and gives us real confidence as we press ahead with our growth plans.”

Payment Expert’s schedule for 2020 includes an extensive conference schedule, with forums at Stamford Bridge, London on 3 June as part of the Betting on Sports Europe event and at the InterContinental Malta on 23 June during CasinoBeats Malta

They will be followed by the largest Payment Expert Forum to date at Fira de Barcelona in September during the new global betting and gaming show, SBC Summit, which also features a dedicated payments zone on the exhibition floor.

The conferences will be complemented by a number of networking events around the world, while the PaymentExpert.com industry news website will continue to offer a range of advertising and media partnership options to help suppliers reach their target customers.
