Paysafe commits to 2019 ESL esports expansion

Reporting great take-up and brand coverage for its multiple payment verticals, global digital payment processing and e-merchant services provider Paysafe Group confirms that it will extend its esports partnership with ‘Electronic Sports League – ESL’.

In 2018, Paysafe announced its first esport marketing partnership with its prepaid card/wallet paysafecard becoming an official partner of ESL – the leading professional organisation and event organiser for esports.

Citing a highly successful year-1 for paysafecard’s ESL partnership,  Paysafe Group states that it will ‘down-down’ on its sponsorship of esports events.

Updating the media, Udo Müller, Chief Executive of paysafecard detailed that the company had committed to becoming the lead of sponsor of ESL’s community and player development league ESL Play.

“We are proud to support ESL as one of the company’s main sponsors for the second year in a row and therefore continue to contribute to the professionalisation and increased awareness of esports. paysafecard’s connection to esports has been a part of our DNA since our company was founded 18 years ago to offer the gaming community a safe and simple way to pay.” Müller details

Paysafe’s sponsorship expansion will see further see paysafecard act as a lead sponsor of ‘ESL One India’ – ESL’s new pro league, seeking to establish itself as India’s flagship esports tournament.
