Nuvei, GeoComply and Payhound were among the headline winners at this year’s SBC Awards, highlighting the critical role of payments and compliance in the future of betting and gaming.
The awards, held at Lisbon’s MEO Arena on September 18 to close out SBC Summit, recognised 37 companies and individuals across payments, compliance, operations and innovation. Hosted by Danish football legend Peter Schmeichel, the 12th edition drew more than 1,200 industry leaders.
Nuvei was crowned Payment Solution of the Year, ending Pay4Fun’s run in the category. GeoComply took Fraud & Compliance Solution of the Year, while Payhound received Payment Innovation of the Year for its forward-looking approach to settlement.
Elsewhere on the night, Kaizen Gaming repeated its success by claiming Operator of the Year – Large and Sportsbook Operator of the Year, while Betsson Group took Casino Operator of the Year. 8888.bg and Vegas Legends were named Operators of the Year in the Small and Medium categories.
On the supplier side, EveryMatrix and Sportradar each secured double wins, while Optimove was recognised for both Marketing & Services Provider and Acquisition & Retention Partner of the Year.
Industry leadership and workplace culture also came under the spotlight. SOFTSWISS retained its Employer of the Year title, and Natalia Nogues (Control F5) and Vigen Badalyan (BetConstruct) jointly received Leader of the Year.

The awards ceremony concluded the final day of the SBC Summit, which drew 30,000 industry professionals to the Feira Internacional de Lisboa from September 16-18.
