PayPal Ventures and Quona Capital have led Finmo’s $18.5m Series A funding round, supporting its global Treasury Operating System (TOS).

This successful funding round boosts Finmo’s total funding to $27m, which will help its AI advancements and international expansion. Founded in 2021, the company seeks to enable businesses to streamline cross-border payments, optimise liquidity and simplify financial operations.

David Hanna, CEO and Co-Founder of Finmo, remarked: “This investment reaffirms our vision of transforming global treasury operations. With the backing of our investors, we will enhance our technology, scale our platform, and expand into new markets to help businesses optimise liquidity and financial risk management.”

In detail, Finmo’s platform streamlines treasury operations with real-time payments, enhanced cash flow visibility, FX risk management, compliance automation and liquidity optimisation – in one scalable solution.

Garnering the support of PayPal Ventures is a significant endorsement of Finmo’s work. PayPal Ventures has kicked off 2025 by boosting its investment in fintechs, most recently leading a Series A funding round in Formance, an Open Source financial infrastructure provider.

Ashish Aggarwal, Partner at PayPal Ventures, stated that “Finmo is addressing key pain points in modern financial management.” He added that the company is “bringing efficiency and automation to businesses operating in an increasingly complex global environment. We are excited to support their journey.”

However, it wasn’t only PayPal Ventures that spoke positively about Finmo; Quona Capital co-led the round, with Citi Ventures also participating.

Ganesh Rengaswamy, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Quona Capital, added:
“Finmo’s innovative TOS is reshaping how businesses manage payments, liquidity, and risk across geographies. Their strong leadership and disciplined approach position them as a key player in global treasury innovation.”
