Canadian fintech company Nuvei has further strengthened its links to the gambling sector via a deal with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), a solutions developer for the industry.
The partnership focuses on CoreX, GiG’s player account management (PAM) solution – a platform designed to assist betting companies in localising operations to meet the unique demands of regional markets.
Nuvei’s payments functionality will be integrated into the platform, in doing so offering GiG’s partner operators more capabilities. Nuvei states that the deal will enable operators to benefit from its ‘payments expertise’ across global igaming markets.

As hinted at by Nuvei, the gambling industry is no new frontier for the company. The sector has been one of the Montreal-based company’s main target industries for some time, and has signed deals with a number of prominent operators in both North America and Europe, like multinational gaming group 888.
Nuvei’s debut deal of 2025 follows an active 2024 which saw some significant developments for the company. It notably secured access to Brazil’s now-launched betting market via a local acquisition, and in November transitioned from being a public company to a private one.
Meanwhile, the deal showcases the significance of payments in the gaming KYC journey. This has clearly been recognised by GiG, a major supplier in the industry active across some of its most important markets.
