Thredd announces new appointment amidst market expansion

Thredd, a ‘next-gen’ payments platform, has appointed Matt Swann as Non-Executive Director to strengthen its product and technology output.

Under his new role, Swann will focus on bolstering Thredd’s product and technology portfolio, leveraging over two decades of experience in product and technology transformation across e-commerce and fintech

The new Non-Executive Director joined the company from Nubank, where he served as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to Nubank, Swann has held roles at, and, equipping him with a deep understanding of innovative product development and strategic technology leadership.

Commenting on his new role, Swann said: “I am excited to start working with Thredd’s talented team of product developers. Thredd’s work to innovate the processing landscape and provide a comprehensive roadmap to support the future of payments is a necessary next step. I’m thoroughly looking forward to working with the team as they continue to disrupt the processing space.”

Whilst working at Swann helped to modernise the platform to deliver an enhanced travel experience to customers, whereas at he was responsible for transforming the global payments business and helping to scale the company.

His experience in scaling at Amazon will play a key role at this moment in time for Thredd, which over the past year has secured new business in key markets including Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore and most recently the United States.

In other news, Thredd was selected by TerraPay to power virtual card payments for its international suppliers, aiming to provide enhanced features to B2B travel intermediaries globally.
